SALESIAN ENRICHMENT PROGRAM

ENRICH YOUR HOMESCHOOLING EXPERIENCE WITH DIVINE MERCY ACADEMY

The Salesian Enrichment Program is designed to supplement the learning happening at home with a dynamic and joyfully Catholic educational environment.

Enriching the Homeschool Experience at Divine Mercy Academy

The Salesian Enrichment Program at Divine Mercy Academy offers homeschool families the opportunity to supplement their children’s education with high-quality, classical classes in a rich Catholic environment. Designed to complement the learning already happening at home, this program provides a supportive, structured setting where students can grow in virtue and pursue academic excellence.

Program Overview

The Salesian Enrichment Program allows homeschool students to join existing Divine Mercy Academy classes in an "à la carte" style. Students may enroll in individual subjects while continuing their primary education at home. This flexibility enables families to enhance their child’s learning with expert instruction and a community dedicated to forming Saints and Scholars.

Class Availability and Structure

Students in grades 3-8 may enroll in individual classes based on their interests and needs. The following subjects are offered as part of the program:

  • Latin
  • Math
  • Nature Studies and Science
  • Ward Music
  • Band and Strings
  • PE and Dance
  • Art

Families may enroll their children in one or more of the above classes based on interest and availability. Further, our enrichment students are always welcome to join the school for lunch, recess, and mass as their schedule allows.

For information on when a specific class meets, please reach out to our admissions director at [email protected]

Enrichment students are welcome to participate in before and after school activities alongside their peers. Learn more at https://divinemercy.md/before-and-after-school-activities/

Please note: Due to the integrated nature of our humanities classes, humanities are not included in the enrichment program. To learn more about our curriculum and educational philosophy, visit www.divinemercy.md/academics.

Enrollment Process

Families interested in the Salesian Enrichment Program should apply through the standard application portal. Interested families may apply as soon as general applications open. Simply indicate your interest in the enrichment program within the application or by emailing [email protected]. Priority enrollment will be given to returning families and full-time students.

Enrollment for the Salesian Enrichment Program opens April 1 and is subject to class availability.

Tuition and Fees

Cost is $285 per class period, per child. A twice a week class like Orchestra would cost $570 annually, a three day class like Biology cost $855 annually, and a 5 day class like math cost $1425 annually. Families may also enroll multiple children in multiple classes. The total tuition is calculated by multiplying the $285 per class cost by the total number of classes taken by each family.

Example: one family enrolls two students in science classes. Since Science runs three days per week, the cost is $285 x 3 x 2 for a total cost of $1,710.

Uniform Requirement

Enrichment Program students are required to wear the Divine Mercy Academy uniform to foster a sense of belonging and community.

Grading and Academic Records

Grades will be assigned by Divine Mercy Academy tutors and maintained in our internal database. Homeschool parents remain the primary record keepers and may integrate these grades into their own homeschooling records as they see fit.
